Week 4 EOC: What is the best way to study

Week 4 EOC: What is the best way to study

Sometimes practice can make perfect. Keenan Harrell would take several pre-tests to practice for his SAT’s or other schoolwork and or tests. He was able score a 1800 out of 2400 on his Sat. He did this be taking pretests, and he did say that it did feel like a lot of work but in the end it was all worth it because he would see small increases in his scores and that s what had boosted his confidence every single time. Sleep plays a big major role when it comes to doing well on your tests. You can always review any material that you might find tough. This makes it really easy doe you to remember any of the following information for later use.  There is no need to wake up early than you normally wake up just to study because you can always make sometime before bed to study this way you can sleep in a little longer. Waking up far to early to study is said to possibly interfere with eye movement, which messes up with aids of memory. Having all-nighters to study for a test the next day is always a bad idea. This will cause you to be very tired for your test, which could mess up your focus for the day. Always eat breakfast when having a test for that day because this will keep you awake and alert and get you flows in the brain to start flowing for the day. “But what you eat a week in advance matters, too.” What you eat plays a big role on your performance and how you act. Certain foods can leave you with a lazy feeling. “While many teens insist they study better while listening to music or texting their friends, research shows the opposite.” Sometimes you are better off silencing your cellphone or putting it far away from you as possible or even shutting it off for a few hours until study time is over. Distraction can take a lot of your time specially when it comes to studying.

Week 5 EOC: Social Networks and Job Hunting

Week 5 EOC: Social Networks and Job Hunting

As of today, companies are starting to use Facebook to find new employees. This creates a major threat to online websites that are looked upon as job boards such as LinkedIn Corp. Right now, the use of Facebook for finding new employees is going slow but it will soon expand in growth and use. “In addition to posting jobs and videos of current employees on its Facebook page, the company has recruiters and other employees find user groups and join discussions.” This creates more use to Facebook as employers do their findings. This is a way Facebook is able to gain new users. “But if current growth trends continue, Facebook could rival traditional job boards in 2012, said Jobs2Web analytics manager Phil Schrader.” This then creates more use for Facebook but leaves other sites with less and less use of their sites. Several job posting websites are doing well in growth but as the use of Facebook for job postings and findings will soon take away several attention from those job posting sites who’s sites revolve around job postings. Maybe if Facebook teams up with some job posting sites this can create more social use and more users to both sides. Not only would Facebook gain more popularity but also so will the job posting sites if they were to team up together as one team. “Beginning next week, the company also plans to pilot a new Facebook application that will allow them to search for candidates on BranchOut Inc.'s Facebook app, which, similar to BeKnown, builds a professional networking layer on top of Facebook and has more than 2.6 million monthly users, according to AppData.com.” Some people say they would much rather use Facebook to apply for positions but if Facebook and job posting sites teamed up together this would eliminate the use of more people favoring Facebook over actual job posting sites.
