The time I had an unexpected
great customer service experience was when I went to a Pizza Restaurant in
Downtown Los Angeles in California. It was just my friend and I and we ordered
a large pizza, bread, and some drinks. We went to go take a seat and waited
patiently. As every customer went up to go get there pizza, we noticed that our
order was called out or an order that was exactly the same as what we ordered.
A random couple went up to get that order, so we assumed that was not out
order. The time passed and we were there for a good 30 minutes or more still
waiting on our order. My friend went up to the cashier to inform her that we
did not receive our order. What had happened was that someone else went up to
go get our order and they apparently forgot what they even had ordered. They
had ordered something completely different than what we ordered. My friend and
I were not upset nor were we mad but we were just a little annoyed that we have
been waiting for a while and others who came after us have already received
there orders. The cashier was able to receive approval from her manager to
refund our order. My friend and I ended up getting free food without any
argument what so ever. The manager also informed us that if there was anything
else we would like to have we could also get an order of that. This was a time
where I received great service because sometimes some companies don’t want to
admit to any mistakes that have been made when it was not even the customer’s
fault in the first place. We also received a half off our next order which made
us even more happy.
